Everything You Need For PPC advertising
Google Money Pro E-Book - There is certainly a lot of free information online and you can basically learn through forums and articles written by most PPC experts. The problem is you’ll be all over the place and there is no structure in your learning process. Invest in 1
good book and always keep it handy for references and assistance. If you’re going to learn PPC, obviously you need to learn it off someone who is an absolute expert. One of the best books I’ve read and still cherish is by Steven Holdaway. His book Google Money Pro gives simple and precise step by step instructions on how to succeed with PPC. Have a look at his PPC earnings.
Keywords Elite- Once you’ve gone through the Google Money Pro E-Book, you’ll definitely need to start doing some intense keyword analysis on the niche markets you are trying advertise. You don’t want to wrack up the expenses rapidly without converting a high percentage of your traffic. You can actually use keyword elite for SEO as well. Now I know this will cost money, but at least its just a once off cost not a monthly cost like some other
products. If you are serious about making it big in PPC, you need to know everything You’ll be sitting in front of your computer about the keywords you are bidding on. Believe me, you wont make it bidding on just a few hundred words. You need software to generate hundreds of thousands of keywords. forever if you need to think up all those keywords yourself. Find out more about how Keywords Elite works before you do anything else and you’ll understand why its a necessity for your PPC business.
PPC Search Engines
Here’s a few other major search engines besides Google to help promote your products and services through PPC. Googles not the only place to get traffic so it is worth your while to test your market with other search engines too.
Free PPC Tools For the Beginners
If you’re just starting off with PPC (pay per click), its a fairly simple concept. You create an ad, you pay a price per click, then you post it up. Depending on how much you pay will determine what position you are in on the search engine. Some search engine have a few listings on the but most are found on the far right column. So what eaxactly do you need to get started anyway?
Google adwords - Start off with Google adwords (since they’re the biggest search engine), and its good to read up on all the free information provided on Google adwords page.
Free keyword combination tool - Create a huge list of phrases and keywords, combine them using this tool to cover all possible keywords entered by searchers. Not as effective as Keyword Elite, but it will have to do if you’re on a tight budget at the moment. This is how I started off as well.
Overture keywords - Find out what people are typing. No point bidding on keywords that people don’t search for. Do thorough research before starting any campaigns online.
Once you have mastered the Google interface, move on to Yahoo’s PPC system, and then MSN. There are many other search engine that have a PPC interface as well, but stick to the big guns. Honestly, Google’s the only one that I’ve seen with a reliable interface that provides fast and easy navigation. When you’re dealing with thousands of keywords you don’t want to sit there all day looking for 1 keyword, increasing, decreasing or deleting keywords. From what I’ve seen, Yahoo and MSN are still a long way behin. Even Yahoo’s new sponsored search interface “Panama” is a bit dodgy.
