It’s sometimes difficult to think of the right topics to write about with all blogs and niche markets, but it’s not as hard as you think. Simple analysis or quick browsing of other sites where authors have already posted popular articles or news can give you a good idea of what people want to read and what they are more interested in. All niche markets are different but it does come down to the quality and resourcefulness of a post which attracts visitors. Here’s a few tips on how to attract visitors to your blog or site:

1/ Check social networking sites for popular posts - Social media site like Digg.com, reddit.com, stumbleupon.com etc, are great places to check for top articles and posts. Various topics are posted here from different authors and readers vote if they find it useful or “vote” worthy. Notice the type if articles that become popular particularly in your own niche market. Generally titles that attract readers are:
“Top ten….”
“The best….”
“Biggest… in the world”
“How to….”
“Where to find…”
or anything else that involves a list, exclusive news, or answers common questions.

2/ Check forums - Members of forums regularly ask questions and there are also many helpful participants who help give comprehensive answers. You will notice patterns of what people ask for, updates and trends in that particular industry. If you are an expert in that field, you can write a comprehensive article to answer the questions or issues. If its a popular question in forums, you’re sure to get readers attention if you post a thorough answer as an article or post on your site.

3/Check Google Trends - There’s no better source than the largest search engine in the world. Google trends will tell you exactly what everyone is searching for in Google. The lists changes everyday as events happen from around the world. If there is a topic related to your niche market, it’s a great opportunity to target those keywords and create an instant spike in your traffic. It may not be consistent traffic but it does create an audience awareness for your blog or site.

4/ Discuss Your Success or Experience - Gaining a well known profile is another lengthy process but once you have a reputable figure or name, readers and people interested in your field will automatically be attracted to what you have to say. People are always interested in what the experts have to say and use the information as a guideline for their own goals and interests. Share your knowledge and wealth once you gain that reputation and you will naturally attract traffic to your site.
